Then I learned from Paul that unless you want to use your counter as a cutting board, they can put a sealer on that is very durable and requires practically no maintenance. So I got counters made of pine recycled from Baltimore row houses. They are gorgeous. Paul's work is meticulous and he is super easy to deal with. Very happy with the whole experience and the end product.
